The Wisconsin Badgers haven't beaten the Notre Dame Fighting Irish since 1963, but it appears as though the oddsmakers believe that 2020 could be the Badgers' year to reset this streak.
Even with the 2020 college football offseason experiencing some unprecedented spring delays and cancellations, the odds and spreads around more than 100 of this fall's biggest matchups are now available on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Wisconsin vs Notre Dame Lambeau Spread
Sitting months away from the 17th all-time meeting between these two prominent Midwestern college football programs, Wisconsin has already opened as a slight 1.5-point favorite to beat the Fighting Irish at Lambeau Field in Green Bay later this fall, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Notre Dame won the most recent matchup with Wisconsin, 31-7, when the Fighting Irish knocked of the Badgers on the road in Madison. Admittedly, it has been more than 55 years since that game, but Notre Dame has still gone 7-2-1 (W-L-T) against Wisconsin in the last 10 series meetings.
College Football Games at Lambeau Field
An icon when it comes to stadiums in the NFL, Lambeau Field does not have a rich history of hosting college football games. In fact, this year's Week 5 matchup between Wisconsin and Notre Dame marks only the second DI FBS college football game played at Lambeau in history.
The most recent FBS game played at Lambeau was back in 2016, when an unranked Wisconsin team upset then-No. 5 LSU, 16-14, as double-digit underdogs at the kickoff.
There's still plenty of time for things to change between now and this 2020 Week 5 kickoff, but the Badgers remain slight early favorites for the time being. Barring any scheduling changes we may see, Notre Dame Wisconsin and Notre Dame are set to face one another at 6:30 p.m. CST at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020.
