Nick Sirianni Blocked Shane Steichen From Taking Eagles Coaches to Indy

It's bad enough when a team loses a key member of its coaching staff. It's even worse when he takes other coaches with him.
Fortunately for Eagles fans, it sounds like head coach Nick Sirianni didn't let that happen after former offensive coordinator Shane Steichen left for the Indianapolis Colts' head coaching job.

Eagles Offseason News
With the Eagles losing defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon as well, Sirianni wanted to keep the rest of his coaching staff as intact as possible. After just reaching the Super Bowl, it's understandable why Sirianni would want to keep the band together as Philadelphia prepares for another run in 2023.
Steichen will have to find his own assistants with the Colts, which he has already started doing. Meanwhile, Sirianni and co. can focus on other offseason priorities rather than worrying about replacing more of their coaching staff.
Time will tell if the Eagles are able to return to the Super Bowl next year, but keeping most of the coaching staff together is a good start. Philly currently has the third-best championship odds for 2023 (+900) on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
