The Cleveland Browns fell at home to the Los Angeles Rams, losing 20-13 on Sunday night. While it was disappointing from a fantasy football perspective for most of the Browns players, a huge workload gave fantasy owners plenty of reason to be optimistic about Nick Chubb.

In the Week 3 loss, Chubb carried the football 23 times for 96 yards, also catching four of his seven targets for another 35 yards. It was a solid performance for overall, but much like the first two weeks, he is having trouble finding the end zone, holding his fantasy upside back. With just a single touchdown on the season, Chubb sits at RB13 in standard scoring leagues. Just one more touchdown would elevate his rank into the top-10.

Chubb has seen his workload increase steadily over the first three weeks of the season. His total touches have gone from 20 in Week 1 to 22 in Week 2 and 27 in Week 3. With the Sunday night game being the closest of the three, it shows that Cleveland is willing to lean on Chubb when the game is on the line, which bodes well for his fantasy value going forward. He also erased any concerns that might have arisen from the workload D'Ernest Johnson saw in Week 2, as Chubb was the only Browns RB to record a touch against the Rams.

This elite volume already makes Chubb a very valuable fantasy football asset, and if the Browns' offense can get things clicking after a bumpy start to the season then we could also see an increase in touchdown scoring. That could make him one of the top backs in fantasy, as a lack of TDs is really the only thing holding Chubb back so far this season.
