The NFL Trade Deadline kicked off with a bang. On Thursday night, the Carolina Panthers sent star running back Christian McCaffrey to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a load of future draft capital.

In what's likely just the first of many blockbuster move before Nov. 1's official deadline, the NFL insiders over at The Athletic picked one player most likely to be traded from each franchise. Nick Kosmider's choice for the Denver Broncos is shocking, to say the least.

Despite all of the offensive inconsistencies, Kosmider believes the Broncos could move on from WR2 Jerry Jeudy. He cites the Broncos' terrible 2-4 start, and their lack of future draft capital, as a reason the team is "more likely to be sellers than buyers" in the next 12 days.

It's hard to imagine an NFL franchise moving on from a first-round draft pick just 2.5 short years into his career. But, Jeudy's has yet to showcase his abilities as a consistent receiving threat. He posted a career-high 856 receiving yards during his rookie campaign, but caught less than 50% of his intended targets.

Jeudy's inconsistency has leaked into the 2022 campaign. After posting an impressive 102 yards and 1 TD in Week 1, the third-year pro is averaging just 2.6 receptions and 37.6 yards per game since. How much of that can be pointed to poor quarterback play and bad play calling? That's up for debate, but if the Broncos can't turn around this 2-4 start quickly, they'll want to load up on future talent.

As it stands, the Broncos hold disappointing +9000 odds to win Super Bowl 57 on FanDuel Sportsbook.
