The Philadelphia Eagles are beginning their search for the team's next head coach after parting ways with Doug Pederson.
Some of the hottest coaching candidates in the league are expected to interview for the gig, and a few exciting names have emerged in the opening odds for next Eagles head coach.
Robert Saleh Eagles
San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh is the frontrunner at +200 odds, according to FanDuel Sportbook's NFL futures.
Saleh is a defensive guru who has garnered serious interest around the league as a possible head-coaching candidate. However, the New York Jets are in advanced talks with the 49ers DC, so the Eagles will face competition if they pursue Saleh's services.
Mike Kafka Eagles
Right behind Saleh in the odds is Kansas City Chiefs quarterbacks coach Mike Kafka at +450.
Kafka played for the Eagles for two seasons during his short stint in the NFL before transitioning to a coaching role. He's spent the last four years on Andy Reid's coaching staff, directly taking part in the development of MVP-winner Patrick Mahomes.
Hiring Kafka could continue Philadelphia's trend of adopting their next head coach from the Reid coaching tree, although it would be a bold move to promote the QB coach directly to HC before getting his reps in as an offensive coordinator.
Eagles Kellen Moore
Dallas Cowboys OC Kellen Moore (+500), Buffalo Bills OC Brian Daboll (+650) and Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy (+650) round out the top five.
Other notable names with odds include Lincoln Riley (+700), Brandon Staley (+1100) and Nick Saban (+5000).
