By now, I'm sure everyone has heard about the Houston Rockets complaining about the officiating during Game 1 of their second round NBA Playoffs series against the Golden State Warriors. Houston's players and coaches believe there were a litany of missed calls that ultimately cost them the game.

And, after the NBA announced the officiating crew for Game 2 of the series, it looks like it could get a whole lot worse for James Harden, Chris Paul and their Rockets' teammates. Veteran NBA referee Scott Foster was assigned to officiate Game 2 and he has a long-running, well-documented feud with both Harden and Paul.

When you take a look at some of the numbers from Rockets' games officiated by Foster, you can get a better idea of why Harden and Paul hold such distain for the referee.

In the 2018 NBA Playoffs, Houston only lost three home games during the postseason, and, you guessed it, all three of those games were officiated by Foster.

When you look at it from a betting angle, as of the end of February 2019, the Rockets were 22-61-2 against the spread (ATS) in all games officiated by Foster. Trends that lopsided almost never happen with this good a team and that large a sample size.

Now, we're not going to tell you where to put your money on Tuesday night's game, but, by the looks of these numbers, it seems there's a clear choice if you want to win a bet.
