FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA
Nikola Vucevic Fantasy
Target Nikola Vucevic, C, Orlando Magic ($9,400): Nikola Vucevic might not be the most exciting name on a huge slate, but it's hard to knock his production this year. He quietly sits No. 12 in the NBA with an average of 45.9 FanDuel points per game, and the Orlando Magic are giving him a ton of run lately. He's played north of 36 minutes in four of his last five, averaging a huge 38.3 minutes per game in that stretch. As an added bonus, he's up against a Sacramento Kings squad that is giving up the NBA's most points per game.
Brandon Ingram Fantasy
Target Brandon Ingram, SF, New Orleans Pelicans ($7,500): Brandon Ingram's recent fantasy output has been pretty underwhelming, not eclipsing 40 FanDuel points in any of his last six games, but we can expect that to change tonight. His minutes have been as high as ever, and he's had a usage rate north of 30% in three of seven. Tonight he gets a Washington Wizards team that plays at the second-highest pace in the NBA and ranks second only to the Kings in points per game allowed.
Anthony Edwards Fantasy
Target Anthony Edwards, SG, Minnesota Timberwolves ($4,500): Anthony Edwards is in an absolute funk from the field, but that actually makes him a pretty appealing value play tonight. He's shooting an atrocious 38.4% true shooting percentage (TS%) over his last five games, but he's not letting that deter him from getting up shots, averaging 13.8 field goal attempts per game in that stretch. For some context, the lowest TS% among 207 qualifying players this season is 42.4%. Put simply, unless you believe Edwards is legitimately the worst shooter in the NBA by a big margin, we can expect a significant bounce-back in his efficiency numbers from the field. Paired with his solid volume, that's a recipe for fantasy success.
James Harden Fantasy
Avoid James Harden, SG, Brooklyn Nets ($9,800): It's always going to be hard for the Brooklyn Nets to support three elite fantasy producers on a nightly basis, and James Harden is the best bet to avoid right now. In the 88 minutes he has played alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, he has just a 20.6% usage rate (trailing Kyrie's 25.0% and KD's 27.4%). Any of them have the potential to go off on any given night, but as things stand right now, Harden is a clear No. 3 in the pecking order.
Russell Westbrook Fantasy
Avoid Russell Westbrook, PG, Washington Wizards ($9,900): Russell Westbrook's current minutes restriction has clearly put a hard cap on his fantasy value. Since returning on January 24th, he's dropped 23.6 and 36.7 FanDuel points while averaging 26.9 minutes per game. His FanDuel salary hasn't fallen nearly enough to reflect the restriction, and until that limit is lifted he's someone to steer clear of.
