NBA DFS 4/8/2022

Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Friday, 4/8, NBA DFS action.

FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 4/8

Darius Garland Fantasy

Target Darius Garland, SG, Cleveland Cavaliers ($9,000): The Cavaliers match up against the Nets tonight in a battle for play-in seeding. Both of these teams will be looking to prove they shouldn't be overlooked and that should lead to a closely contested game. Darius Garland is the player to target in this one given Brooklyn allows the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards. The third-year pro is also averaging 23.3 points, 9.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds across three contests against the Nets this season. Garland is a lock to see 35-plus minutes and will have the ball in his hands every possession down the stretch. Don't hesitate to ride the hot hand here.

Miles Bridges Fantasy

Target Miles Bridges, SF, Charlotte Hornets ($7,900): The Hornets head into Friday night as just 2.5-point underdogs to a banged up Bulls squad. The efforts of Miles Bridges will go a long way in determining whether or not Charlotte can pull off an upset win. The 24-year-old has scored at least 24 points in five of his last seven games and now gets to face a Chicago defense that has allowed an opponent shooting percentage of 51.8% over its last three games. Bridges picked apart the Bulls to the tune of 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists back on February 9. Expect a similar performance here as the Hornets attempt to build some momentum heading into the playoffs.

Jaylen Hoard Fantasy

Target Jaylen Hoard, SF, Oklahoma City Thunder ($6,000): Finding those diamonds in the rough that separate your lineup from the rest of the pack is crucial at this point in the season. Oklahoma City's Jaylen Hoard fits that mold pretty well. The former Wake Forest standout has now played in at least 36 minutes in three of his last four games and posted two performances of 20-plus points and 20-plus rebounds during that span. He has another opportunity to fill up the stat sheet against a Lakers' defense that gives up the second-most rebounds to opposing small forwards. Hoard is worth a shot given his low price tag tonight.

Pascal Siakam Fantasy

Avoid Pascal Siakam, PF, Toronto Raptors ($10,000): There's a couple of reasons to avoid having Pascal Siakam in your DFS lineup on Friday night. Yes, he is coming off a triple-double in a big win over the Philadelphia 76ers. However, it's possible head coach Nick Nurse sits his best player on the second night of a back-to-back. The Raptors are pretty much locked into the fifth seed anyways. Not only that, but Siakam only averages 15.0 points and 6.4 rebounds against the Rockets in his career. This seems like the perfect spot for Toronto to lean on its younger players in order to lock down a bench rotation for the playoffs. Stay away from Siakam.

Clint Capela Fantasy

Avoid Clint Capela, C, Atlanta Hawks ($6,900): This is just another day of fading big men playing the Miami Heat. Miami allows the fewest fantasy points to opposing centers and gives up just 41.3 points in the paint per game (No. 1 in NBA). Simply put, Bam Adebayo has become one of the best rim defenders in the NBA. Capela has played the Heat once this season and scored 6 points to go along with 6 rebounds in 26 minutes. That is nowhere near his typical level of production. This is a lowered price tag for a reason, so it's best to avoid Capela in a nightmare matchup.
