Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Friday, 3/26, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA
James Harden Fantasy
Target James Harden, SG, Brooklyn Nets ($11,300): James Harden is the most expensive player on tonight's slate, and with good reason. Over his last three appearances, Harden is averaging a whopping 62.2 FanDuel points per game. And tonight he gets a matchup with a Minnesota Timberwolves defense that surrenders 117.2 points per game (No. 28) and boasts a bottom-five defensive rating (114.7). Look for Harden to stay hot tonight.
Kemba Walker Fantasy
Target Kemba Walker, PG, Boston Celtics ($6,800): Kemba Walker has quietly turned his season around, and he's averaging 40.2 FanDuel points per outing over his last two appearances. There's also a lot working in his favor tonight. Jaylen Brown is out tonight and the Boston Celtics are facing the New Orleans Pelicans, who own a bottom-three defensive rating (116.0). Likely to see an uptick in opportunities against a beatable defense, Walker should have little trouble outperforming his price.
Jakob Poetl Fantasy
Target Jakob Poetl, C, San Antonio Spurs ($5,800): Jakob Poetl is coming off one of his best fantasy performances of the season, having dropped 41.3 FanDuel points against the Chicago Bulls. There's reason to think he could be in for a repeat tonight. Poetl is facing the league's worst scoring defense in the Washington Wizards, who surrender 119.3 PPG. Washington also allows opponents to grab the fifth-most rebounds in the league (47.1 per game) and plays at the fastest pace in the NBA. All of that should lead to an uptick in efficiency and opportunities for Poetel, which is a recipe for fantasy success.
Julius Randle Fantasy
Avoid Julius Randle, PF, New York Knicks ($9,900): Julius Randle's emergence has been one of the most fun storylines of the season, but he's a stay-away tonight. He faces the Miami Heat, who own a top-seven defensive rating and play at the fourth-slowest pace in the league. Factor in a lingering thigh issue and it's tough to see Randle living up to his price tag tonight, especially considering he's $900 more expensive than the red-hot Zion Williamson.
Jimmy Butler Fantasy
Avoid Jimmy Butler, SF, Miami Heat ($9,300): Jimmy Butler has been in something of a mini-fantasy slump lately, averaging just 37.74 FanDuel points per outing over his last five. That's respectable production but you'd be hoping for a lot more at his $9,300 salary. And it's tough to see him turning it around tonight. Butler faces the New York Knicks, who play at the slowest pace in the league, own a top-three defensive rating and surrender the league's fewest points per game. All that could impact both his efficiency and opportunities, making it tough to justify that hefty price tag.
