NBA DFS 3/22/2022

Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Tuesday, 3/22, NBA DFS action.

FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 3/22

Zach LaVine Fantasy

Target Zach LaVine, SG, Chicago Bulls ($7,400): The NBA slate only features four games on Tuesday night, which makes avoiding the massive stars a strategy that could pay off in the end. Having a player like Zach LaVine lead your lineup is one way to separate from the rest of the pack. The eighth-year pro is averaging 24.5 points and 6.5 assist over his last four games and draws an advantageous matchup against the Bucks, too. Milwaukee is allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards and will not have Khris Middleton available to guard the perimeter. LaVine is a great option assuming he suits up.

Jordan Poole Fantasy

Target Jordan Poole, PG/SG, Golden State Warriors ($7,400): The absence of Stephen Curry has catapulted Jordan Poole into a much bigger role on the offensive side of the court for Golden State. The former Michigan standout has drained at least three three-pointers in eight of his last nine games and is averaging 25.1 points per game over that span. His efficiency from beyond the arc makes him worth his price tag alone. It's worth noting that both the Warriors and Orlando Magic play at a top-11 pace in the NBA. More possessions means more opportunities for Poole to fill up the stat sheet against a team that ranks in the bottom 10 in terms of defensive efficiency.

RJ Barrett Fantasy

Target RJ Barrett, SF/SG, New York Knicks ($7,200): One more player benefitting from a teammate's injury tonight is RJ Barrett. Julius Randle will sit out against the Atlanta Hawks with a quad injury and that should put more emphasis on Barrett's offensive skills. The 21-year-old find himself in a bit of a scoring slump, but facing a Hawks' defense that gives up an opponent shooting percentage of 47.0% (T-No. 24 in NBA) is the perfect way to bounce back. Atlanta has also posted the fifth-worst defensive efficiency mark in the NBA. With a spread set at just 3 points, Barrett should end up playing more than 30 minutes and balling out in front of the home crowd.

Terance Mann Fantasy

Avoid Terance Mann, SG/SF, Los Angeles Clippers ($6,600): Finding any sort of value in the Clippers/Nuggets matchup tonight is a hard task to accomplish. Denver ranks outside the top 20 in pace and the Clippers average just 106.7 points per game as a team (T-No. 25 in NBA). Terance Mann's price tag is too high in this one considering he has scored in single digits in four of his last seven games. Denver is allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing shooting guards and held Mann to a combined 20 points and 10 rebounds across two January matchups. It'd be best to keep Mann out of your lineup on Tuesday night.

Wendell Carter Fantasy

Avoid Wendell Carter, PF/C, Orlando Magic ($7,300): Not only do the Warriors own the second-best defensive efficiency mark in the NBA, but they also know how to shut down opposing big men. Golden State is allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing power forwards and fifth-fewest points in the paint per game (43.6). That is not good news for Wendell Carter given his lack of outside shooting expertise (33.5% from three-point range). Carter may be coming off a 30-point performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but now he has to face Draymond Green and Kevon Looney by the rim. There's simply better options at this price tag tonight.
