NBA DFS 12/7/2021

Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Tuesday, 12/7, NBA DFS action.

FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 12/7

Dejounte Murray Fantasy

Target Dejounte Murray, PG/SG, San Antonio Spurs ($9,900): Dejounte Murray has been on a tear in DFS action, including seven straight contests with at least 45 DFS points. He's a bit pricy, but considering the small slate, we'll continue his groove. Murray is playing a career-high 34.8 minutes per game and leads the Spurs with a 25.6% usage rate, leading to 19 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists. New York ranks bottom-10 in opponent assists (24.4) and we expect Murray to be heavily involved sharing the basketball tonight.

Keldon Johnson Fantasy

Target Keldon Johnson, PF/SF, San Antonio Spurs ($5,400): Keldon Johnson is a great value play on tonight's DFS slate. He's averaging 14.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest, but his rebound numbers could spike against a Knicks squad that ranks 24th in defensive rebounding percentage (72.0%).

Jayson Tatum Fantasy

Target Jayson Tatum, SF/PF, Boston Celtics ($9,700): When one of Boston's two stars is out, it's advisable to start the remaining player in FanDuel DFS action. That's exactly why you need to target Jayson Tatum with Jaylen Brown likely out with a hamstring injury. Boston uses Tatum at an absurd 34.2% usage rate when Brown is off the court. He's the third-highest priced small forward on tonight's slate, but that's ok given the potential sky-high value he offers, especially against the Lakers who rank just 16th in defensive rating.

Derrick White Fantasy

Avoid Derrick White, PG, San Antonio Spurs ($7,800): While San Antonio Spurs guard Derrick White scores .94 DanDuel DFS points per minute this season, he's seen his offensive production drop over the past five. White is making just 42.2% of his two-point field goals over the last five for a troubling 48.7% effective field-goal percentage. The Knicks play at a pace that ranks just 25th in the NBA, meaning an inefficient shooting night just won't cut it for this price.

Kristaps Porzingis Fantasy

Avoid Kristaps Porzingis, PF/C, Dallas Mavericks ($8,500): Kristaps Porzingis has missed his last two games with injury and is listed as a game time decision tonight. Even if he plays, avoid picking him up for FanDuel DFS action. Not only do the Nets rank sixth in the league in defensive rating, but Porzingis has scored 20+ point in less than half of his 15 games played this year. His 7.1 field goal attempts per game is the lowest mark since 2017-18. It's quite clear his $8,500 price is too steep given the potential of re-aggravating his knee injury.
