NBA DFS 10/25/2021

Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Monday, 10/25, NBA DFS action.

FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 10/25

Karl-Anthony Towns Fantasy

Target Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves ($10,900): Karl-Anthony Towns is the fourth-most expensive player on tonight's slate and for good reason. He's posting an absurd 30.8 usage rate to kick off the year while averaging 45.4 FanDuel points per game on 27.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists. This game is full of great fantasy options with both the Timberwolves and New Orleans Pelicans ranking top-10 in pace.

CJ McCollum Fantasy

Target CJ McCollum, SG, Portland Trail Blazers ($8,200): Portland has been operating a little differently this year, at least through the first two games. CJ McCollum (not Damian Lillard) leads the team with a 33.1 usage rate and his stats show it. McCollum is averaging 31.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 32.5 minutes plate. The long-time Trail Blazer is shooting a career-high 21.5 field goal attempts and 11.0 three-point attempts and cashing in at 55.8% and 54.5%, respectively.

Brandon Ingram Fantasy

Target Brandon Ingram, SF, New Orleans Pelicans ($8,200): Brandon Ingram continues to be the beneficiary of a Pelicans lineup without Zion Williamson. The small forward is lighting things up in his absence, leading the team with a 31.0 usage rate and averaging 27.0 points, 6.0 assists and 7.0 rebounds. All three of those marks are career-best figures and his rebounding/passing has been the most pleasant surprise. Ingram averages nearly 42 FanDuel DFS points in 42 career games played without Zion in New Orleans.

Jimmy Butler Fantasy

Avoid Jimmy Butler, SF/SG, Miami Heat ($8,900): Jimmy Butler still sits with a top-5 DFS price amongst NBA wings and his performance will not be worth it. Miami plays at an average pace, ranking 16th with their 101.23 mark. This team also doesn't burn out it's stars and Butler retains just a 26.0 usage rate. That's his highest mark since joining the Heat, but a far cry from the usage leaders in today's NBA. We also have to consider the Orlando Magic matchup. There's not exactly a clear-cut reason why, but Butler averages only 35.05 FanDuel DFS points against the Magic throughout his career. He's simply not worth the hefty price tonight.

Jaylen Brown Fantasy

Avoid Jaylen Brown, SF/SG, Boston Celtics ($8,500): We're not even sure if Jaylen Brown will play tonight, but he should be avoided if he does suit up. Brown averages an astonishingly low 26.2 FanDuel DFS points against the Charlotte Hornets in 15 career games. That output is very serviceable for a mid-to-low priced wing, but not at his $8,500 asking price. Even if Brown does play, he's clearly nursing an injury and it's hard to imagine seeing him at 100% tonight.
