NBA DFS 1/19/2022
Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Wednesday, 1/19, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 1/19
James Harden Fantasy
Target James Harden, SG/SF, Brooklyn Nets ($10,600): James Harden has taken over for the Brooklyn Nets with Kevin Durant injured. Harden is averaging 25.0 points, 11.3 assists and 7.3 rebounds over the last three games, all of which Durant was out or limited in. It's clear Harden's boost in assists is a direct result of having the ball in his hands more and taking over as the Nets' primary playmaker. He should thrive as a scorer and distributor against the Washington Wizards, who own the eighth-worst defensive rating in the league.
Domantas Sabonis Fantasy
Target Domantas Sabonis, PF/C, Indiana Pacers ($9,400): Domantas Sabonis draws an incredibly attractive matchup for a big man on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Lakers have given up the fourth-most PPG and RPG to opposing teams this season as they deal with the absence of Anthony Davis. LA also loves to push the ball, ranking in the top three for pace. That should translate to plenty of rebounding chances for Sabonis, who has flourished on the boards this season (11.9). As the Paces' No. 1 option on offense, he could dice up a struggling Lakers scoring defense.
Hamidou Diallo Fantasy
Target Hamidou Diallo, SG/SF, Detroit Pistons ($5,600): Hamidou Diallo has provided some sneaky production as of late. He's notched more than 30 FanDuel fantasy points in four of his last six games, finding success as a scorer (13.0 PPG) and on the boards (7.3 RPG) along with 1.8 steals per contest. This game will feature two teams that rank top 10 for most PPG allowed and top 11 for fastest pace, so there should be plenty of opportunities for Diallo in this one.
CJ McCollum Fantasy
Avoid CJ McCollum, SG, Portland Trail Blazers ($7,900): CJ McCollum was an avoid pick in his first game back on Monday, and his performance went just about as expected. McCollum turned in 22.2 fantasy points in 28 minutes, recording 16 points, 2 assists and 1 rebound. It wasn't up to his standards, but the 4 turnovers he committed clearly showcased some rust following more than a month away. Let McCollum get settled before thinking about him as a legitimate option.
Bradley Beal Fantasy
Avoid Bradley Beal, SG, Washington Wizards ($9,000): Bradley Beal isn't the most appealing play right now given his price tag. Beal returned from a three-game absence due to COVID protools with a bit of a dud, managing 29 fantasy points in 32 minutes. Beal has failed to put it all together as of late, recording a high of just 38.7 fantasy points over his last three games. It's best to give Beal a couple of games to get his conditioning back before trusting him in your lineups.
