Miami Dolphins rookie running back Myles Gaskin hasn't played since injuring his knee in Week 8. It's looking like he's shaping up to be a game-time decision for Week 12, but he'll be a difficult player to trust, even in a plus matchup against the New York Jets.

Myles Gaskin Fantasy Outlook

Gaskin should benefit from the fact that Salvon Ahmed, who has been working as the lead back while Gaskin has been sidelined, will be out in Week 12. But with Ahmed out, he will still have to contend with Matt Breida for touches in this backfield. Gaskin was averaging 87.4 yards from scrimmage on 21.6 opportunities (targets plus carries) per game from Week 3-8 before going down.

It's difficult to imagine Miami giving Gaskin a full workload in Week 12 if he's even active.

And most of his fantasy value came from seeing that hefty workload. Gaskin was averaging just 3.6 yards per carry and 5.7 yards per target during that same stretch.

That's pretty inefficient, so cutting into his volume would likely mean Gaskin is a player to avoid in Week 12.

There should be better days ahead once he's back up to full speed, but it's best to take a wait-and-see approach with the promising rookie RB on Sunday.
