Most Likely Trade Destinations for Kevin Love

Kevin Love is one of the sweetest-shooting big men in basketball, but his stock has taken a hit after a slew of injuries. Still, the nephew of Beach Boys founding member Mike Love can still be an impact player when healthy, and a move to a contender could revitalize his reputation around the league.

With that in mind, here are the three most likely trade destinations for Love.

3. Los Angeles Clippers

If the Los Angeles Clippers strikeout on Kawhi Leonard, trading for Love could be a good way to utilize some of the team's remaining cap space. While Love is a sieve on defense, he and Danilo Gallinari could be a lethal offensive duo in the frontcourt.

2. Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks were seemingly eyeing bigger fish this offseason, but swinging a trade for Love could be a great consolation prize. Mark Cubans' squad still has a decent amount of cap space, and Love could be a nice fit alongside Kristaps Porzingis. Porzingis can cover for Love's defensive deficiencies, and both players are strong shooters who can provide spacing for Luka Doncic. If Dallas finds a way to make the salaries work, Love could be a nice trade target.

1. Portland Trail Blazers

Love is a Portland native, so a trade to the Trail Blazers would be something of a homecoming for the former NBA champ. And there's a lot more reason than that to like this move. The Blazers have needed a scoring forward to compliment Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum for quite some time, and Love can provide buckets in spades. He's a problematic fit on the defensive end, but he could make the Trail Blazers one of the most dynamic offenses in basketball. Figuring out a way to acquire Love could prove tricky, but Portland has a ton of assets and enough movable pieces to facilitate a deal.
