Most Likely NFL Teams to Draft Penn State's Micah Parsons
By Larry Rupp

Linebacker Micah Parsons is touted as one of the best defensive prospects in the 2021 draft class and will likely be an early first-round pick. His recent performance at Penn State's Pro Day only has his draft stock rising even higher as he posted strong numbers across the board.
It's always tricky to predict where linebacker will fall in the draft, especially given the depth of talent at the offensive skill positions this year. With that being said, here are three of the most likely teams to select Parsons in the NFL draft.
Micah Parsons Draft Projection
3. Philadelphia Eagles (No. 12 Overall)
The Eagles simply need a spark on defense and that is exactly what Parsons brings to the table. He is a flat out playmaker and has a sideline to sideline ability that defensive coordinators dream about. Philadelphia has built a reputation of not using a lot of resources at the linebacker position and instead hoping for players to exceed expectations. However, they shouldn't let Parsons pass them by if he is still there at No. 12 overall. The Eagles haven't had a game-changing defensive player for at least the least few seasons. Parsons could act as a player to build upon moving forward.
2. Denver Broncos (No. 9 Overall)
The Broncos stick out as a possible landing spot for Parson simply due to their need at the linebacker position. The linebacking core of Denver's team would benefit from adding an elite talent that can play all over the field. Parsons has the skills to cover receivers out of the backfield, make any tackle needed and even rush the passer. He forced 6 fumbles and totaled 191 tackles during his two seasons at Penn State. Pairing him up alongside Von Miller would create nightmares for opposing offenses. Parsons can play every down and would make this playoff-ready roster even better.
1. New York Giants (No. 11 Overall)
The offseason has been good to the Giants as they were able to address some offensive needs through free agency, but they still have to build depth on their defense. Parsons stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 245 pounds, yet he showcased his speed by running a blazing 4.39 40-yard dash. He could be a transformative piece on this Giants defense and bring a toughness that they are desperately in need of. Plus, he has the versatility to be a leader on this team. The Giants own the No. 11 overall pick and if Parsons is still there, they should jump at the opportunity to draft him.
