We used to have to wait until around June for top prospects to make their MLB debuts. However, this season has already seen a flurry of prospects called up, including Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Nick Senzel and most recently Nicky Lopez.

Players like Pete Alonso and Chris Paddack broke camp with their big league clubs, and have been two of the brightest young stars in the Majors this season. While it seems like teams are less concerned with service-time restrictions, and more about winning, two of MLB's top prospects are getting the call heading into Memorial Day Weekend.

The Toronto Blue Jays purchased the contract of Cavan Biggio while the Arizona Diamondbacks are expected to call up first-base prospect Kevin Cron prior to Friday's game versus the San Fransisco Giants.

Biggio is the son of Hall of Fame second baseman Craig Biggio, and Cron is the younger brother of current Twins' first baseman C.J. Cron.

Biggio joins the Jays from Triple-A Buffalo, where he was batting .307 with six homers, 26 RBI and five steals. He will likely take over at second base, but also has experience playing first base, third base and the two corner outfield positions. He could gain multi-position eligibility in fantasy and has the ability to put up a 20-20 rookie season, making the 24-year-old well worth an add in 12-team leagues.

Biggio and Guerrero Jr. will become the first MLB teammates who are both sons of Hall of Fame players. They will likely soon be joined by another son of a famous MLB star in shortstop Bo Bichette, the son of Rockies' slugger Dante Bichette.

Cron was straight mashing for Arizona's Triple-A Reno affiliate, leading the Minor Leagues with 21 homers to go along with 62 RBI. The only potential issue that could stop Cron from a big-time fantasy breakout is that he's currently blocked by Diamondbacks' first baseman Christian Walker. However, Walker is hitting .197 with one homer in May and with the late-May promotion for Cron, it's likely that he's being called up to play.

Both Cron and Biggio are worth adds in keeper and their respective AL-only and NL-only leagues, but Biggio could be the safer pickup solely due to his expected playing time. While Cron offers more upside, they're both must-adds this weekend.
