On the backs of some brilliant pitching, the Cleveland Guardians breezed past the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL Wild Card Round. After two days off, the Guardians now prepare for an enticing ALDS matchup with the New York Yankees.

MLB was also quick to announce the start times for the early games of each division series. On Monday, the Guardians learned they would play both Games 1 and 2 at 7:37 p.m. ET.

It took another day, but the league revealed start times for the remaining three ALDS games just a few hours before Tuesday's series opener.

ALDS Start Times

Guardians insider Zack Meisel shared the official start times on his Twitter account, and they are as follows.

Game 1: Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7:37 p.m. ET
Game 2: Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7:37 p.m. ET
Game 3: Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7:37 p.m. ET
Game 4: Sunday, Oct. 16 at 7:07 p.m. ET *if necessary
Game 5: Monday, Oct. 17 at 7:37 p.m. ET *if necessary

To no surprise, especially when it comes to the TV-friendly Yankees, the remaining three games will all be aired in primetime. This includes a pair of 7:37 p.m. ET starts for Games 3 and 5 wrapped around a 7:07 p.m. ET start for Game 4.

Game 4's earlier start time is likely to avoid as much overlap with Sunday Night Football, which will feature the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6.

Cleveland plays host to Game 3 and Game 4 (if necessary), per the typical division series home-away split rules. This means Progressive Field will be rocking over the weekend as the Guardians look to pull off the upset victory against New York. As it stands, FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB odds show Cleveland as +180 series underdogs.
