MLB Playoff Picture Bracket as of September 23, 2021

Both the American League and National League playoff races are coming down to the wire. Some clear favorites have emerged in the race for the various division titles, but the Wild Card hunt remains tight, especially in the American League.

The New York Yankees have rebounded a bit, and have taken a half-game lead over the Toronto Blue Jays for the second American League Wild Card spot. They sit 2.0 games back of the Boston Red Sox for the first AL Wild Card spot. The St. Louis Cardinals have grabbed a strong 4.5-game lead in the race for the second NL Wild Card spot.

While the MLB playoff picture can change on a daily basis, it's good the know where things stand as the season end nears.
