The MLB offseason is in full swing, meaning free-agent rumors have been running wild. The latest of these rumors link the San Francisco Giants to a certain veteran starting pitcher.

The San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reported Monday that the Giants are considering going after former Los Angeles Angels RHP Alex Cobb, according to sources.

Alex Cobb Free Agency

The 34-year-old veteran righty was solid for the Angeles in 2021. He started 18 games last season, pitching to an 8-3 record, 3.76 ERA, 1.264 WHIP and career-best 9.5 strikeouts per nine innings pitched.

As things stand, the Giants have +1700 odds to win next year's World Series, which has them sitting 10th, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
