MLB is just over a week removed from crowning the 2022 World Series champion. The Houston Astros captured their second championship in franchise history earlier this month, but attention turned quickly to the offseason.

The league saw more than 131 players join the offseason's free agent class and the hot stove is already ripe with rumors.

Before the league can officially close the chapter on the 2022 campaign, yearly awards must be handed out. MLB announced the full list of Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards last week and the league will announce winners for the other major yearly awards this week. The Duel has you covered with a list of finalists and one prediction for each.

Rookie of the Year

The Rookie of the Year is first up for MLB awards week. Rookie of the Year will be announced live on MLB network at 6 p.m. ET on Monday, November 14.

AL Rookie of the Year Finalists and Prediction

Finalists
- Steven Kwan, LF, Cleveland Guardians
- Julio Rodriguez, CF, Seattle Mariners
- Adley Rutschman, C, Baltimore Orioles

Prediction: Julio Rodriguez. It's hard to ignore the best player for a team snapping it's 20+ year playoff drought.

NL Rookie of the Year Finalists and Prediction

Finalists
- Brendan Donovan, Utility, St. Louis Cardinals
- Michael Harris II, CF, Atlanta Braves
- Spencer Strider, SP, Atlanta Braves

Prediction: Michael Harris II. He ranked fourth on the team in WAR despite playing just 3/4 of the season, and did it on a 101-win team.

Manager of the Year

The Manager of the Year award will be announced live on MLB Network at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, November 15.

AL Manager of the Year Finalists and Prediction

Finalists
- Terry Francona, Cleveland Guardians
- Brandon Hyde, Baltimore Orioles
- Scott Servais, Seattle Mariners

Prediction: Terry Francona. Not only did Francona get his longshot cast of rookies to a playoff appearances, but they pushed the big, bad New York Yankees to 5 games in the ALDS.

NL Manager of the Year Finalists and Prediction

Finalists
- Dave Roberts, Los Angeles Dodgers
- Buck Showalter, New York Mets
- Brian Snitker, Atlanta Braves

Prediction: Dave Roberts. Perhaps the most wide-open race of the yearly awards, it's hard to ignore the Dodgers' 111 wins.

Cy Young Award

The Cy Young award will be announced live on MLB Network at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

AL Cy Young Finalists and Prediction

Finalists
- Dylan Cease, SP, Chicago White Sox
- Alek Manoah, SP, Toronto Blue Jays
- Justin Verlander, SP, Houston Astros

Prediction: Justin Verlander. Leading the league in ERA after not pitching for two years? No contest.

NL Cy Young Finalists and Prediction

Finalists
- Sandy Alcantara, SP, Miami Marlins
- Max Fried, SP, Atlanta Braves
- Julio Urias, SP, Los Angeles Dodgers

Prediction: Sandy Alcantara. Urias put together a slightly better ERA, but Alcantara struck out 41 more batters with a ridiculous 8.1 WAR.

MVP

Both the AL MVP and NL MVP awards will be announced live on MLB Network at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, Nov. 17.

AL MVP Finalists and Prediction

Finalists
- Yordan Alvarez, DH/LF, Houston Astros
- Aaron Judge, RF, New York Yankees
- Shohei Ohtani, SP/DH, Los Angeles Angels

Prediction: Aaron Judge. Yes, Shohei Ohtani can do it all and at an elite level, but he deserves his own award. The new AL Home Run King takes this one.

NL MVP Finalists and Prediction

Finalists
- Nolan Arenado, 3B, St. Louis Cardinals
- Paul Goldschmidt, 1B, St. Louis Cardinals
- Manny Machado, 3B, San Diego Padres

Prediction: Paul Goldschmidt. A better slash line (and more power) gives Goldy the edge over Arenado. Just a fine season in St. Louis.
