Miles Sanders was fantastic down the stretch for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2019. Once Jordan Howard went down with an injury, the rookie back averaged 98.0 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring 4 total TDs during that seven-game stretch.
But even the most optimistic of Sanders' fans might be surprised by the over/under for his total yards in the 2020 campaign, set by FanDuel Sportsbook.
Sanders' over/under for yards from scrimmage has been set at 1499.5, with equal -112 odds on both the under and the over. While he only racked up 1,327 yards from scrimmage as a rookie, he didn't really take over until the end of the year, as mentioned above.
There's plenty of reason to believe Sanders could reach, or at least approach, this lofty total, but such a high projection puts him in some elite company. In fact, he's only about 50 yards behind three-time Pro Bowl RB Alvin Kamara, whose total has been set at 1,549.5.
Coming off a rookie campaign that saw him rack up the 13th-most yards from scrimmage among running backs, it's not hard to see why fans and analysts alike are excited about Sanders. Still, if he reaches that 1,500-yard threshold, he would have finished with the ninth-most yards from scrimmage in the NFL in 2019.
If he delivers another stellar campaign next season, it won't be too long before Sanders is viewed as one of the NFL's elite running backs.
