There is little doubt that Mike Tomlin is one of the best coaches in the NFL, he has been with the Pittsburgh Steelers since 2007 and holds a 125-66-1 record during that span. The larger question for Pittsburgh fans is, have they grown tired of the same voice in the Steel City.

Mike Tomlin Approval Rating 2020

The reddit.com/r/pittsburghsteelers fan page polled 882 Steelers' faithful and 807 of them still approved of Mike Tomlin. That yields a 91.65 percent rating, which actually ranks in the bottom half of the league (most NFL coaches had a 90.0 percent approval rating or higher).

Pittsburgh had their usual offseason, quiet but steadfast, adding Eric Ebron but losing Javon Hargrave and Ramon Foster. They generally draft well, but didn't have many picks in 2020, wide receiver Chase Claypool being the headliner. The main difference this season will be that Ben Roethlisberger is healthy again, a massive boost for the Steelers.

Tomlin seemed to quell calls for a new head coach after a job well done in 2019, leading a Steelers team with dreadful quarterback play to a near playoff berth. In 2020, Pittsburgh opens on Monday Night Football in New Jersey versus the New York Giants. They are currently a 4-point favorite, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
