Mike McDaniel Gives Concerning Terron Armstead Injury Update

The Miami Dolphins understand they must be at full strength if they wish to knock off the Super Bowl favorite Buffalo Bills in Week 3. Despite the brilliance of Miami's offense, they'll have to contain a Bills defense that's allowed just 17 points in two games, and ranks second in the league with 9 sacks.
Unfortunately, the news stemming around Pro Bowl left tackle Terron Armstead hasn't improved as we inch closer to Sunday's kickoff. Head coach Mike McDaniel provided a concerning update on Friday regarding his veteran offensive lineman
Terron Armstead Injury Update
McDaniel said Terron Armstead's status for Sunday is "up in the air. I don’t think he knows yet it he will play. We have multiple contingency plans." Still dealing with toe injury; hasn't practiced as team wants to focus on treatment for him.

Armstead logged two DNPs (did not practice) on Wednesday and Thursday, and there's growing concern he won't be able to suit up for Sunday's title. The situation is "up in the air. I don't think he knows yet if he will play. We have multiple contingency plans," said McDaniel.
Dolphins insider Barry Jackson explained the team is focused more on treatment for his toe issue rather than rushing him into practice.
Dolphins News
Armstead was able to suit up in Week 2 and play in all 71 of the team's offensive snaps, despite missing Wednesday's practice leading up to that contest.
He's a key cog of Miami's offensive line, one that has impressed thus far. Miami ranks tied for the 12th-fewest sacks allowed (4). Part of Tua Tagovailoa's skillset is avoiding pressure, but the Dolphins went out and signed Armstead this past offseason to keep the young quarterback comfortable in the pocket.
Only time will tell if Armstead is able to suit up on Sunday. Either way, the Dolphins have their hands full and enter this Week 3 clash as 5.5-point home underdogs, according to NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
