The order for the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft continues to change in the days leading up to the big event. Monday brought a shakeup that involved the New Orleans Saints moving up to No. 16 overall in exchange for a package that involves this year's No. 18 selection.
Many around the NFL have weighed in on the trade, and count Saints wideout Michael Thomas among them.
Thomas tweeted out a simple "BOOM" in response to his team's recent trade. It's clear he's excited about the possibilities that moving up presents, whether that involves grabbing a new quarterback or potentially adding one of the several talented pass-catchers in this class.
One name that's been linked to New Orleans during the pre-draft process is Ohio State wideout Chris Olave. That would an especially exciting selection given Thomas is also a former Buckeye, and the two could wreak havoc together during the 2022 campaign.
With Jameis Winston back in the fold, that gives the Saints the freedom to surround him with talent, rather than reach for a QB because they need to. Still, that option is certainly on the table if any of the top signal-callers end up falling on draft day.
The first round of the 2022 NFL Draft is set for Thursday, April 28.
