Michael Carter Injury Update Boosts Tevin Coleman Fantasy Outlook

Michael Carter's breakout rookie season has hit a bump in the road. The talented rookie went down in Week 11 with an ankle issue, and he was quickly ruled out of the game. Being ruled out that quickly is rarely a good sign, and he appears to be in danger of missing Week 12.

Any absence for Carter would be huge for Tevin Coleman's fantasy outlook moving forward.
Michael Carter Injury Update
Carter looked to be on his way to another huge day before exiting the game, turning 10 touches into 65 yards from scrimmage. This injury really couldn't come at a worse time, as he was averaging 111.0 yards from scrimmage per game with 2 TDs over his last four outings.
At this point, there's not much concrete information about the injury. But hopefully he can get right soon.
Tevin Coleman Fantasy Outlook
If Carter is looking at a multi-week absence, Tevin Coleman could be a decent FLEX option. Coleman finished the game with just 5 carries for 16 yards, but he was the clear-cut No. 2 back, handling 6 touches to 2 for Ty Johnson.
Coleman also draws a great matchup in Week 12, facing the lowly Houston Texans. Houston owns the league's sixth-worst rush defense DVOA rating, and also surrenders top-10 PPR production to opposing RBs.
Coleman will be a decent FLEX value if Carter can't suit up next week. But Carter would be a rock-solid RB2 if he returns at full strength.
