Best Remaining Destinations for Melvin Ingram in Free Agency
By Max Staley

Entering the 2020 campaign, Melvin Ingram was viewed as one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL. His reputation took a big hit during the season, though, as Ingram battled through injuries, shockingly recording zero sacks through seven appearances.
Arguably the top pass-rusher still available in free agency, here are the best remaining destinations for the three-time Pro Bowler.
Melvin Ingram Rumors
3. Los Angeles Chargers
Staying put would make a ton of sense. The Los Angeles Chargers have over $32 million in available cap space and there aren't many big-name studs to spend it on at this point. And the team's new head coach, defensive guru Brandon Staley, would surely like to bring Ingram back alongside Joey Bosa. Having the 31-year-old return on a lucrative one-year deal feels like a win-win move for both sides.
2. Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs already have a pretty scary pass-rushing unit, with Chris Jones dominating on the interior and Frank Clark coming off the edge. But KC could use another edge rusher, as there's no one to fear on the outside opposite of Clark. Ingram would fix those woes in a hurry. And signing with Kansas City has to be appealing to Ingram, who would get to compete for a Super Bowl ring and face his former team twice in 2021.
1. Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens almost always seem to have a dominant pass-rush, but they're in danger of losing that reputation in 2021. Yannick Ngakoue and Matthew Judon both bolted in free agency this offseason, leaving the 34-year-old Calais Campbell as Baltimore's most productive pass rusher from 2020 (4.0 sacks). That's not going to cut it. Adding an excellent veteran pass-rusher like Ingram at discount feels like a move we've seen Baltimore make countless times over the years. Don't be surprised if history repeats itself in that regard.
