Now that Cam Newton is a starting quarterback again, questions surrounding his arm strength have resurfaced. The surgeries on his throwing arm seemed to have an impact on the 2015 NFL MVP, who struggled mightily as a passer with the New England Patriots last season.

Panthers head coach Matt Rhule, though, isn't worried about his QB's arm.

Rhule said there are "no issues" with Newton's arm strength. The head coach also said Newton's lack of downfield throws (long of 27 last Sunday) were due to Joe Brady's gameplan, not Newton's abilities.

It makes sense that Carolina would opt for short-yardage throws in Newton's first game as starter. He was accurate and efficient in Week 11, completing 21-of-27 attempts for 189 yards and 2 TDs.

Newton will need to continue to make plays with his arm if this team wants to make the playoffs. Carolina is 2-point favorite ahead of their Week 12 matchup against the Miami Dolphins, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
