The former Coach of the Year in 2018 had a disappointing second season with the Chicago Bears. The team finished 8-8 with what was thought to be one of the top defenses in the NFL, and offensive guru Matt Nagy's unit took the brunt of the blame.

Matt Nagy Approval Rating 2020

According to, the fan base is not too pleased with Nagy's overall performance, putting him in the bottom six for NFL coaches at a 72.41 percent approval rating based on a poll of 1,341 voters. For perspective, only five other head coaches had percentages under 80.0.

So which Matt Nagy will we see in 2020? The Coach of the Year, or the flop of 2019 with an offense that had the fourth-fewest yards per game under Nagy and quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. A lot will depend on who starts under center, with Nick Foles brought in to compete with the former first-round draft pick.

Preseason will be extremely important for this Bears offense, so fans will hope there actually is one in the lead up to Week 1 versus the Detroit Lions on Sept. 13, 2020. Chicago is currently a 2.5-point underdog on the road in Detroit.
