I think it's safe to assume most people would enjoy an extra $86,000 in their bank account. However, there is one lucky person out there who could have that happen to them, but who also failed to notice.

As pointed out by Reddit user /u/Chaffy_, during a 2019 matchup between the then-Oakland Raiders and Indianapolis Colts, one lucky fan won the 50/50 raffle at the game, which had a grand prize of $86,146. That prize remains unclaimed as we enter April. With more than six months passed since the winner was announced, it seems their luck has run out.

According to the Colts website, the person had 30 days to redeem the ticket.

Losing what amounts to be essentially a winning lottery ticket has to be devastating, but we don't even know if the person realizes that or not yet. It would be pretty hard to come to grips with that unfortunate reality. At this point, if the ticket can't be redeemed by the rightful winner, let's just hope this is an "ignorance is bliss" situation and no one has to deal with that sorrow.

The lesson here is simple. Don't lose your lottery ticket.
