Marquise Brown Fantasy Outlook Makes Him a Risky Pick in 2020 Season

Marquise Brown is one of the most talented young receivers in the league. But he's stuck playing in the NFL's most run-heavy offense, so he might not see enough volume to show that off in 2020.
Given his injury history and the concerns around his volume, Brown is a risky pick at his current average draft position (ADP) of WR31 – though he undeniably has upside.

Marquise Brown Fantasy Football Outlook
Brown started off last season with a bang, tallying 12 receptions for 233 yards and 2 scores on 18 targets. However, he was pretty much unplayable for the remainder of the year.
Over his final 12 games (he missed 2 due to injury), Brown averaged 29.3 receiving yards on 4.4 targets 2.8 receptions per game. In fact, he only reached 50 receiving yards once over those final 12 contests. He was the WR63 in PPR leagues from Week 3-17.
Lingering injuries played a big part in that, but he's a 5-foot-9, 170-pound wideout. He could struggle to get out of a full 16-game season with a clean bill of health.
Plus, the Ravens added running back J.K. Dobbins in the 2020 NFL Draft. That doesn't sound like a team planning to throw it more frequently, and Baltimore was last in passing attempts last season.
Still, Brown is outrageously talented. He could easily make his doubters look silly in 2020 and he'll likely have some week-winning performances. But with the concerns about his volume and injury history, he looks like one of the most boom-or-bust players in the league. He's a fine player to target at his current ADP, but fantasy owners might want to have an insurance plan ready.
We have Brown as the WR32 in our 2020 rankings.
