The hype around quarterback prospect Zach Wilson has been building ever since he dominated the college football scene last season. Well, former NFL quarterback and current college football analyst Mark Sanchez joined the party by recently comparing Wilson to a prolific Hall of Famer.

Sanchez said that Wilson reminds him a lot of Brett Favre. He explained how Wilson thrives in chaos and often makes plays when there looks like there is no play to be made. Overall, he is just fun to watch. Wilson is highly projected to be taken No. 2 overall by the New York Jets, who drafted Sanchez No. 5 back in 2009.

Of course, being compared to Favre is high praise. Favre spent 20 seasons in the NFL and made the Pro Bowl 11 times. He also won Super Bowl 31 with the Green Bay Packers and was named the NFL MVP three times. Favre was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016.

Wilson impressed during his junior season at BYU completing 73.5% of his passes for 3,692 yards and 33 touchdowns. He also showcased his rushing abilities by racking up 254 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. He has the potential to be an NFL starter as soon as next season.

If Jets fans were already excited about the idea of drafting Wilson, this should only take that to a whole other level. We'll see if general manager Joe Douglas feels the same type of way when the Jets are on the clock at the end of April.
