The Seattle Mariners broke a 20-year postseason drought and are looking to keep the momentum going in 2023. This team is stacked with young talent, headlined by AL Rookie of the Year Julio Rodriguez and should be a staple atop the AL West for years to come.

Much of the thanks goes to the leadership of manager Scott Servais, but the franchise isn't done adding talent to their coaching ranks.

On Tuesday, it was announced the Mariners added a recently retired All-Star to the staff.

According to a press release, Stephen Vogt will join the M's as a "Bullpen & Quality Control Coach" in 2023. He retired from baseball after a decade playing for six different franchises.

Vogt finished his career with the Oakland Athletics in 2022 and played 19 games behind the dish at 37 years old. He earned All-Star nods in both 2015 and 2016 as a member of the Cincinnati Reds.

"I am beyond excited to be joining the Mariners' organization and major league coaching staff. This next chapter of my career is one I am ready for and thrilled to be beginning in Seattle," said Vogt.
