The Madden NFL franchise has a long history with the NFL, including the Super Bowl. The popular football video game has provided a chance to simulate the big before it happens, offering predictions on prior years and even insights for sports bettors.

Madden Super Bowl Prediction 2022

This year's Madden Super Bowl prediction is out, and it's projecting an upset. The Madden 22 simulation has the underdog Cincinnati Bengals securing a victory in the Super Bowl, topping the favorited Los Angeles Rams, 24-21.

In this Super Bowl recreation, Joe Burrow completes 32 passes for 317 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT en route to a Super Bowl MVP win. Naturally, Bengals rookie kicker and clutch artist Evan McPherson kicks a 49-yard game-winning field goal as time expires.

The football video game's predictions seem to fall in line with how Cincinnati has used some late-game heroics throughout the postseason to punch their tickets to Super Bowl LVI.

These teams are expected to battle it out with some great passing attacks, followed up with fierce defensive performances. The over/under is set at 48.5 points on FanDuel Sportsbook's Super Bowl odds, and this simulation falls just under that mark at 45.

In addition to Burrow's 317 yards, Madden sees him leading a game-winning drive to set up McPherson's third consecutive walk-off field goal. On the other side, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is expected to complete 27 passes for 280 yards and 2 TDs to 1 INT.

Stafford's lone interception is a costly one in this simulation, providing Bengals cornerback Eli Apple with a 29-yard, pick-six in the third quarter.

Madden Super Bowl Prediction

Madden is 1-2 over the last three Super Bowls, getting the Chiefs' victory in 2020 right, but both the New England Patriots' 2019 win and Buccaneers' 2021 victory wrong, so anything can happen when Cincinnati and Los Angeles square off.
