When NFL fans hear the term "blown lead," the Atlanta Falcons are pretty much unanimously the first team that comes to mind. While Atlanta has done their very best to maintain that title this year, it looks like the Detroit Lions are coming for that throne in 2020.

After blowing yet another double-digit lead (their third such loss of the season) on Sunday, Detroit has just set an embarrassing new NFL record.

Apparently a double-digit lead is a death sentence for Matt Patricia's Lions. They just became the first team in NFL history to lose six straight games in which they once led by 10-plus points. That's flat-out absurd.

It's even worse considering Patricia was brought in to revamp this defense. They have yet to finish above league average as a scoring defense since Patricia took over, allowed the seventh-most points last year and are currently the fourth-worst scoring defense this year. That's not ideal.

Heading into a Week 5 bye, the Lions need to sort out their late-game issues if they want to even contend for a Wild Card spot. At this point, FanDuel Sportsbook already has the Lions as massive +1700 underdogs to win the NFC North.
