The Detroit Lions look to climb back up to .500 when they host the Seattle Seahawks for NFL Week 4 action on Sunday. The Lions have looked solid through three weeks, but beating the Seahawks might be easier said than done following the unfortunate injury updates to star offensive players Amon-Ra St. Brown and D'Andre Swift.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Injury Update

Lions head coach Dan Campbell has ruled St. Brown out for Sunday's contest, reported by team insider Colton Pouncy. The talented sophomore wideout has been sidelined from practice all week as he deals with a lingering ankle injury.

The silver lining is that this seems like a week-to-week injury and that St. Brown won't need to head to the injured reserve. Still, missing him for the week will hurt due to his leading all Detroit pass-catchers in receptions (23), receiving yards (253) and touchdowns (3).

D'Andre Swift Injury Update

The odds of Swift suiting up against the Seahawks doesn't look promising either. While the Lions' lead back hasn't been ruled out just yet, Campbell told reporters that the versatile RB "probably" won't play against Seattle.

Ankle and shoulder injuries have limited Swift's opportunities so far this season. Even though he's started each of the Lions' three games, backup RB Jamaal Williams has out-touched Swift 43-27 while also finding the end zone four times to his counterpart's one score.

Swift also hasn't practiced at all this week, so it won't be surprising if he isn't at Ford Field this Sunday. Resting him would be a smart decision when thinking long term, however, it'll likely be a long day for Lions fans without their top-two playmakers.

Seahawks vs Lions Odds

Despite the injury news, oddsmakers continue to like Detroit's chances of victory in Week 4. FanDuel Sportsbook lists the Lions as 3.5-point favorites over the Seahawks in a game with a projected total of 47.5 points.
