Detroit Lions fans may have been surprised to see starting tight end T.J. Hockenson show up on the injury report this past week, but they shouldn't be worried as he is expected to suit up and play in Week 10. He has been battling a toe injury that caused him to miss or be a limited participant in practice all week.

Already missing wide receiver Kenny Golladay due to a hip injury, quarterback Matthew Stafford will be glad to have Hockenson healthy against the Washington Football Team in Week 10.

Hockenson is in the midst of the best season of his young career as he has hauled in 34 receptions for 360 yards and 5 touchdowns. He has become one of the most reliable players on the offense, playing in over 70% of the offensive snaps in five of the past six games.

The former Iowa Hawkeye could easily have a big game this Sunday as the Washington Football Team is among the worst in the league at covering opposing tight ends. They have given up 464 receiving yards (No. 22 in the NFL) and 6 touchdowns (T-No. 22 in the NFL) to opposing tight ends thus far.

The Lions are looking to snap a two-game losing streak in Week 10 and are currently 3-point home favorites against Washington, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL betting odds.
