So much for the idea that LeSean McCoy's small workload late in the regular season had something to do with keeping him fresh for the playoffs.

LeSean McCoy Injury Update

The veteran RB played only a single snap last week, not touching the ball in the Kansas City Chiefs' Divisional Round comeback win over the Houston Texans. And now, one step further in the wrong direction for him, he's been officially announced as inactive for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Tennessee Titans.

Chiefs Inactives

What little fantasy football appeal McCoy may have offered is now, of course, entirely shot.

Damien Williams Fantasy Value

This also confirms Damien Williams' standing as the Chiefs' unquestioned lead back. He's recorded 12-plus carries in each of his last five healthy games (he left Week 11 early with an injury), averaging 14.2 carries plus 4.6 targets per game in that sample.

With the Chiefs sitting as 7-point favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, KC could end up favoring the run while playing with a lead as well, giving Williams the potential for even more volume.

With McCoy confirmed to be fully out of the way this week, Williams checks in as the RB2 in our Conference Championship fantasy football rankings.
