Anthony Davis Provides Positive Injury Update on LeBron James

Throughout the entire 2021 NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers haven't exactly looked like defending champs. LeBron James' injury and absence has surely been a huge part of their struggles. But, Anthony Davis provided a positive injury update on James after Sunday's victory over the Phoenix Suns.
"Trust me. He'll be fine."

LeBron James Injury Update
Struggle is a relative word when it comes to the Lakers this season. This team is still eight games over .500 at 38-30. However, Los Angeles now sits as the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference, just one year removed from the No. 1 seed and their 2020 NBA Championship.
James has missed 25 games for the Lakers this season with a nagging right ankle injury and Los Angeles is just 10-15 in his absence. However, his main counterpart Davis feels confident in the return of King James. "Trust me, he'll be fine," Davis shared in Sunday's press conference.
It's easy to understand why the Lakers miss James' production on the basketball court. Prior to his injury, James was averaging 25 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.8 assists per night. He's also shooting 51.3 percent from the field and 36.6 percent from deep. His three-point percentage is the fourth-best mark in his 18-year NBA career.
Head coach Frank Vogel and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope also shared in Davis' enthusiasm and confidence. "He looks good in his workouts," and "he'll be playoff ready," added the two.
Currently, the Lakers own +550 odds to repeat as champions, according to NBA odds posted on FanDuel Sportsbook.
