Le'Veon Bell Fantasy Outlook Skyrockets Following Potential Trade Rumors

Le'Veon Bell is one of the best running backs in football when he's right. But he just hasn't looked like himself since joining the New York Jets in 2018. Over his last three healthy seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers (12-plus games played), Bell never recorded fewer than 1,880 yards from scrimmage.

During his first season in New York, however, Bell was held to just 1,250 yards from scrimmage. His second season hasn't been much better, as he's already miss three games due to injury. That has naturally made Bell the subject of trade rumors, and the whispers about a potential Bell deal are beginning to heat up, according to a report from Manish Mehta.

Any potential trade would instantly improve Bell's falling fantasy stock.

Le'Veon Bell Fantasy Outlook

It's been hard to fault Bell too much, as he's stuck in one of the worst offensive situations possible. Pro Football Focus has given the Jets an offensive graded of 61.2 – the second-worst mark in the league.

While there's nothing concrete as far as potential destinations for Bell, his fantasy outlook would get an immediate boost almost regardless of where he lands. Even if he ends up in a timeshare somewhere, you have to think his efficiency would climb significantly – as both a rusher and a receiver.

This news does make Bell an interesting buy-low trade candidate, but he'd be a risky acquisition. If he's not traded it's hard to see him having much of an impact from a fantasy perspective, and there's still no guarantee he'd be a fit with a potential new team.

He's an interesting target for RB-needy managers that are looking to swing for the fences.
