Arizona Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald has seen firsthand what wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is capable of doing on the football field. That's why he believes the five-time Pro Bowler will be in the Hall of Fame one day despite being handed a recent six-game suspension for a positive PED test.

Fitzgerald told TMZ sports that he doesn't believe HOF voters will hold this suspension over Hopkins' head in the future and will rather see it as a bump in the road. He knows that the 29-year-old has already shown that he can fight through whatever battles are sent his way throughout his career.
"He'll still be a Hall of Famer. He'll work through it. It's just some adversity and, you know, he's a tough guy, resourceful, and he'll work his way through it."- Larry Fitzgerald on DeAndre Hopkins
It's a bit of a surprising take considering Fitzgerald had a reputation of being one of the cleanest players in the NFL during his storied 17-year career. He was never suspended and opponents never seemed to have a problem with the way he played. That same thing cannot be said about Hopkins.
When it comes down to it, Fitzgerald is simply backing up a fellow teammate in hopes that Hopkins can turn things around. For now, trade acquisition Marquise Brown will have to take over as the No. 1 WR after he posted a career-high 1,008 yards on 91 receptions for the Baltimore Ravens in 2021.
Hopkins won't be passing catches from quarterback Kyler Murray until Week 7, which is surely going to make the team's first six games that much harder to win. The Cardinals currently have the 14th-best odds to win Super Bowl 57 at +2700, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
