LaMelo Ball, the youngest of the Ball brothers, is now listed at +420 to become the first player selected in the 2020 NBA Draft, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

LaMelo, who is New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball's younger brother, is still just 18 years old. He took a non-traditional route for an NBA prospect though, electing to skip college to sign with the Illawarra Hawks, of Australia's National Basketball League (NBL).

He is averaging 12.0 points, 5.5 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game during his first season in the NBL. LaMelo's performances have reportedly impressed NBA scouts, and he's routinely found himself in the top five of most analysts' 2020 mock drafts.

Frankly, it's not hard to see why. The 6-foot-8 guard has tremendous size for a perimeter player. LaMelo's decision making often leaves something to be desired, as he's turning the ball over a little too frequently, but he's a pure shooter with impressive athleticism and court vision.

While he was often over shadowed by his outspoken father, LaVar, and his brother Lonzo, LaMelo's game has come a long way since high school.

He'll have to compete with some of the other top prospects in the 2020 NBA Draft, like James Wiseman and Cole Anthony, but LaMelo certainly has a chance to be the first player selected.
