Quarterback Lamar Jackson was a surprise addition to the Baltimore Ravens' injury report with what was labeled as an illness. Unfortunately, his ailment did not seem get any better as Jackson has been ruled out against the Chicago Bears in Week 11.
Lamar Jackson Injury Update
Jackson was a full participant in practice on Friday, but has apparently been battling cold-like symptoms for the last week. His status ultimately came down to whether or not he felt he could give it a go on Sunday. Jackson's absence crushes his fantasy outlook and puts fantasy managers in a bind.
The former NFL MVP ranks as the No. 5 QB in fantasy scoring through 10 weeks of action and has been making an impact all over the offense. Jackson is averaging a career-high 271.9 passing yards per game, while he is also adding in 71.0 yards on the ground. Overall, he has accounted for 16 touchdowns this season.
Tyler Huntley Fantasy Outlook
Backup Tyler Huntley will now be called upon for his first NFL start. The second-year pro has completed 8 of his 16 career pass attempts for 54 yards and racked up 33 rushing yards. His play is similar to Jackson in that he can scramble out of the pocket with ease and use his legs when needed.
The Bears have posted the 11th-worst total DVOA rating this season and are allowing the 13th-most fantasy points to opposing QBs. There is an opportunity for Huntley to post QB2 numbers as long as head coach John Harbaugh lets him run the offense. The 23-year-old is a boom-or-bust streaming option for fantasy managers in need of a replacement.
