Lamar Jackson Fantasy Outlook Could Create Value for RG3 After Missed Practice Due to Illness

Lamar Jackson leads the QB position in fantasy points per game and ranks second among players across all positions, averaging just over 25 points per contest (25.5).

While he's the QB1 in all of fantasy, Jackson missed the Baltimore Ravens' practice on Thursday with an illness, something that could raise some question marks around his outlook for a plus-matchup in Week 10 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

An illness isn't an especially concerning reason for a missed practice, and unless we get a more worrying update in the coming days, Jackson should be expected to play with no restrictions this week.

However, on the off chance that this does become an extended absence and Jackson does miss Sunday's game, Robert Griffin III would be in line for his first start since 2016. With a history of impressive rushing numbers, the Ravens' style of play wouldn't have to change too much with their backup in, though the team's effectiveness would unquestionably take a hit.

For now, fantasy owners are safe to operate under the assumption that this is just a one-day hiccup, and that Jackson will be full-go for a dreamy matchup against a Bengals defense that has allowed the NFL's fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing QBs.

Jackson went off for 30.6 fantasy points against Cincy in Week 6, and he sits as the QB1 in our Week 10 fantasy football rankings.
