It is no secret that this 2021 NFL Draft class is full of talent and depth at the quarterback position. Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson lead the way, but one particular quarterback has seen his draft stock rise recently. Florida's Kyle Trask is starting to receive some hype around him.

An NFL Draft has not featured six first-round quarterbacks since 1983. However, this year has the potential to match that as ProFootballTalk's Peter King went as far as saying Trask might be a first-rounder.

"I'm starting to think Kyle Trask, the Florida quarterback, has a good chance to be the sixth first-round quarterback. Starting to think."

Kyle Trask wasn't even a household name before he put together a solid 2020 senior season with the Florida Gators. Yet, he balled out by completing 68.9% of his passes for 4,283 yards and 43 touchdowns. Trask also showcased his underrated speed by rushing for 8 touchdowns in college.

While Trask may not be ready to step into a starting NFL role right away, he presents a lot of the traits necessary for a perfect developmental quarterback prospect. He is a pure pocket passer and someone that has an impressive ability to make throws under pressure.

The best strategy here would be for a team with a veteran signal caller to draft Trask. He could learn for a year or two before being fully prepared to step in and take over. No matter what, don't be surprised if you see an NFL team reach for Trask in the the first round at the end of the month.
