Not many people were surprised when the Atlanta Falcons drafted Florida Gators tight end Kyle Pitts with the fourth overall pick. Pitts is by far the best tight end in the class and could wreak some havoc on the Falcons' offense.

However, despite his potential, FanDuel Sportsbook doesn't seem to think that Pitts could be the league's 2021 Offensive Rookie of the Year. In fact, they've disrespectfully listed him at +1300 odds to win the award.

Kyle Pitts Rookie of the Year Odds

At +1300, Pitts has the sixth-best odds to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The reality is that he probably does stand a chance at winning it, especially if he excels at being the Falcons No. 1 tight end. After all, no team ran more multiple tight end sets in 2020 than Atlanta.

Pitts has the perfect opportunity to excel with the Falcons. In recent years, the team's aerial attack has relied on Matt Ryan passing it to Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. With those two still serving as pass-catching threats, Pitts should see plenty of opportunities to make some big plays.

The 6-foot-6, 245-pound tight end has already shown what he can do at the college level. He hauled in 100 receptions for 1,492 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in 24 games over three seasons with Florida. He was also a two-time All-SEC player and won the 2020 John Mackey Award for the best tight end in all of college football.

The Falcons may have finished at the bottom of the NFC South last season, but they still had one of the top passing attacks in the league. They averaged 272.7 passing yards (5th) and 39.2 passing attempts (T-4th) per game in 2020. If Ryan doesn't regress too much, there's not resume to assume that the volume won't be there for Pitts to succeed.

At the end of the day, odds can change. That includes the disrespectful +1300 given to Pitts to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. If he's able to do some damage early on in the season, there's no reason why the 20-year-old tight end can't shift the odds in his favor.
