As the NFL offseason progress, there are still several prominent names available in free agency. That includes former Seattle Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright. While he's been involved in multiple rumors since March, a clear-cut destination has yet to emerge. However, a reunion with the Seahawks has yet to be ruled out.

When asked about the possibility of Wright returning to the team on Thursday, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that the possibility is still there. He added that the organization wants to see how their current roster progresses over the summer before adding any more pieces.

"That doesn’t mean that we’re not tuned into all of the options and the opportunities that are out there because we are. But K.J. [Wright] is OK at this point. He’s doing fine. And if we get a chance to call on him we’ll go after it and see if we can put something together."

K.J. Wright News

It'll be interesting to see if the Seahawks do indeed circle back to Wright at some point in the offseason. At the end of the day, it'd be hard to imagine him in another team's uniform. His tenure with Seattle began in 2011, right at the height of the Legion of Boom days. Considering how most of that roster is gone now, you can't blame Seahawks fans for wanting to see a reunion.

Besides, Wright has been great throughout his first 10 seasons. He's suited up in 146 out of a possible 160 games with the Seahawks, recording 941 total tackles, 13.5 sacks, 11 forced fumbles and 6 interceptions. He was even a part of Seattle's Super Bowl-winning team and made the Pro Bowl in 2016. Despite being 31 years old, ProFootballFocus has ranked Wright as being the 14th-best linebacker in the NFL next season, which shows the kind of respect that he commands.

The Seahawks currently have +2300 odds to win the Super Bowl, which clocks in at No. 9 on FanDuel Sportsbook's odds list. Considering how experts think that Wright is a top-20 linebacker in the NFL, there's no doubt that a reunion in Seattle could help boost the Seahawks' championship odds.
