The Notre Dame-Florida State matchup will go down at 7:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Sept. 5. The game will take place at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida. It will also be broadcasted on ABC with a live stream being available through ESPN.

Notre Dame-Florida State Game Info
The opener will be one of the five games each year that independent Notre Dame plays against ACC teams. The Fighting Irish had a season to be proud of last season, going 10-2 while losing in the College Football Playoff Semifinal (Rose Bowl Game) to the Alabama Crimson Tide, who'd go on to be the eventual national champions. On the other hand, the Seminoles weren't that great, finishing 3-6 — their third sub-.500 season in a row.
Notre Dame should be competitive this season, as they are most years. They'll have a lot of returning players, including running back Kyren Williams. The junior back had a breakout season in 2020, tallying 1,438 total yards from scrimmage and 14 touchdowns. If the Fighting Irish want to compete for a championship, they'll need Williams to be at the top of his game.
Notre Dame currently has +6000 odds to win the national championship next season, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. That puts the school in a five-way tie for the 13th-best odds. Meanwhile, Florida State sits at +10000 (T-19th).
