The Seattle Seahawks are coming off an unexpectedly great season in 2022, making the playoffs after entering the year with low expectations in the aftermath of the Russell Wilson trade.

A huge reason for that was the surprisingly fantastic play of quarterback Geno Smith, who had a career year in his ninth NFL season. Smith posted personal bests in virtually every category, leading the NFL in completion rate en route to his first Pro Bowl selection.

Now, the man partially responsible for Smith's success is potentially in line for a big promotion with the Baltimore Ravens. Seahawks QB coach Dave Canales is getting a second interview for the Ravens' offensive coordinator job.

Canales has been with Seattle since 2010, serving in multiple assistant coaching roles under Pete Carroll. He helped the Seahawks make back-to-back Super Bowls in 2013 and 2014, winning it all in 2013.

Not surprisingly, his work and success have caught the attention of other teams in an offseason where many clubs are looking for new coordinators. Baltimore needs an OC after parting ways with Greg Roman last month.

Even if Canales doesn't get the Ravens job, it's clear other teams are starting to notice his potential.
