CBS Sports was the only mock draft highlighted to project Ellis as a late second-round pick. The Alabama standout is all about scoring the basketball. He drives to the rim with confidence, creates space with his dribble and grabs offensive putbacks. That gives Ellis a solid chance of becoming a reliable sixth-man capable of taking over a game down the road.

Ellis transferred from Florida SouthWestern State College following his sophomore season and it was a move that certainly paid off. The 22-year-old shined as a three-point specialist at Alabama, while also playing tenacious perimeter defense. He fits the mold of a 3&D player at the NBA level assuming he lands with the right coaching staff and can build a bigger frame in the weight room.
